1901 Census for Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire

Bletchley Park was the location of the British Intelligence code-cracking team during the Second World War. Also known as 'Station X', this site housed decrypting machines (forerunners of the computer) that were used to crack Axis-coded transmissions, such as the ones created on the famous Enigma machines. The successful decoding of these messages was of great tactical advantage to the allied forces and helped to win the war.
