Oundle School: Memorials of the Second World War

The original book of this CD, Oundle Memorials of the Second World War 1939-1945, was an official publication of Oundle School, and includes pupils and staff of both Oundle and Laxton School who served in the Second World War. Although all combatants are listed, most of the book consists of biographies of those who died. Arranged alphabetically, each has a page, with a photograph, details of school career, education and occupation after school, service details, and when and where they died. Although parents and home address are usually listed, no mention is made of wives or children. Among those listed are two brothers Michael and Gordon Potts who were both killed on the same day in 1940.
