The Genealogist
Using this website is like opening Pandora's box to the past
The Genealogist website (www.thegenealogist.co.uk) provides some of the most useful genealogical collections available. This website is one of family history's main players, offering access to the most popular genealogical records - BMDs and censuses - as well as an eclectic range of other resources. These include parish register transcripts and printed publications, Post Office and Trade directories, a range of military, landowner and electoral rolls, wills and testaments, and recently Nonconformist records and the Roll of Honour collection. The latter holds biographical records of all British officers who fell in World War I from August 1914 to June 1915, with portraits and birth date and place, father's name, education, and circumstances of death. |
